To be a Vibrant, Growing,
Christ-Centred Community
Who We Are

We are a group of ordinary people who have trusted in Jesus Christ as our Saviour and are now endeavouring to follow Him as our Lord.

We are located in New Plymouth, the North Island of New Zealand.

We have a range of ministries and activities for all ages and stages.

Our Mission

To honour God through worship and Bible teaching.

To care for each other spiritually and physically.

To share Jesus Christ’s message with others so they become His followers.

The Church first convened on Robe Street in 1916. The original building is now the Youth Centre as part of the extended complex which is known as

New Plymouth Community Chuch.

In 1975 the Church purchased the house at 50 Vivian Street which is now its listed address. This provided a foyer and office areas when the Robe Street section and an auditorium on Vivian Street were joined. At a later stage, the auditorium was extended to its present size.

Over the years the Church has been actively involved in community programmes and ministries for all ages and financially supported missionaries and mission organisations.

We now look to the future as to how we can serve the needs of our Church and our community according to our mission.
